Building Connections at the New to New West 2026 Intercultural & Information Festival

CentreCanada proudly participated in the New to New West 2026 Intercultural & Information Festival, held at New Westminster Secondary School on June 20, 2026.

Throughout the day, our dedicated team of volunteers, led by CentreCanada President Burak Koban, had the pleasure of welcoming visitors to our information booth. Families, newcomers, and community members stopped by to learn about CentreCanada’s programs, services, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming activities. While parents explored these resources, children enjoyed a variety of engaging and fun activities organized around the festival grounds.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to build new connections and strengthen relationships with our community partners. During the festival, President Burak Koban and our team had productive meetings with MP Jake Sawatzky, MLA Jennifer Whiteside, New Westminster Mayor Patrick Johnstone, and representatives from many allied community organizations.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the visitors, volunteers, organizers, and community leaders who helped make this event a success. Together, we continue building a stronger, more inclusive, and welcoming community for everyone.
