Board of Directors – Call for Nominations

CentreCanada Newcomer Services Society is now accepting nominations for its Board of Directors. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and long-term impact of a growing organization committed to equity, inclusion, and newcomer empowerment.

Who Can Be Nominated

• Voting Members of the Society may nominate candidates.
• Candidates must meet eligibility requirements under the Society’s Bylaws and the BC Societies Act.
• Up to two individuals from non-member backgrounds may be nominated, provided they are nominated by a Voting Member.

Board Composition & Term

• The Board consists of 11 directors.
• Standard term: 3 years (with a one-time optional 1-year extension).
• Directors may not serve consecutive terms without a 3-year hiatus.

How to Apply

To submit a nomination, please complete the online form below and include:

• A résumé or summary of qualifications.
• A short personal statement (max 250 words / 1,500 characters).
• Your consent to serve, if elected.

If requested, a criminal record check may be required.

Deadline to Submit

All nominations must be submitted at least 7 days before the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Late submissions will not be accepted.
